Water Damage Process

The Basics

  • Our team of experts arrive for the initial Inspection. We locate the source of the damage, determine the scope of work and discuss with the insurance adjuster to come to a final agreement. Once everyone is on the same page and the proper legal documentation has been signed, we implement industry grade equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers), in order to prevent the moisture from migrating to unaffected materials.

The Advanced

  • Advanced Drying Techniques - Once the initial scope of work has been completed, one of the most integral parts of the restoration process is assessing whether or not an affected material can be salvaged. Using systems such as Injectidry® floor drying mats and desiccant dehumidifiers we can save that newly installed custom-built wood flooring. Unfortunately, sometimes salvaging moisture affected materials is not an option.

Achieving the dry standard on your wood sub-flooring and concrete slab before the reconstruction process can commence is an important step in the process in order to prevent weakening of the structural integrity of your home. That is where our concrete moisture detector, hammer probe meter & tented drying systems come in handy. See: (a)

  • Non-invasive Drying Techniques - We understand the headache for home-owners of having to deal with water mitigation. Sometimes you simply don’t want someone needlessly poking holes around your home. Using the FLIR® Thermal Imaging camera we can assess the extent of the moisture migration - not visible to the naked eye - all without damaging that wallpaper that matches so well with your furniture! • Psychrometrics - Our moisture meters are great at detecting water trapped within a given substrate, but even they are limited in their capacity in choosing the best course of action to take in order to dry your home in a timely manner. Webster’s Dictionary defines psychrometry as follows: The art of determining the amount of moisture in the air by the use of the psychrometer.

Have we lost you yet? Don’t worry - our IICRC certified technicians use the latest advances in science to measure the atmospheric readings within your home to create the most optimal drying environment possible. Ensuring that you are able to restore your home to pre-loss condition sooner, and setting your mind at ease.

  • Furniture Appraisal - Do you have that special piece of furniture you want to save? Not sure if the moisture has damaged it beyond repair? Our in-house technicians can give a quick assessment and determine whether or not your furniture can be salvaged and repaired or a total loss. Maybe that generations-old bookshelf was handed down to you by your grandmother, our network of licensed appraisers can assure you that you will be in the best hands when it comes to dealing with your antique furniture.
